The reason as to why the sequence TGCCGAACTTGAA can not be translated is because it is a segment of DNA, not RNA. Translation is the process in which an mRNA is processed in the cytoplasm to yield polypeptides and eventually proteins. One distinguishing feature between a DNA and an RNA is the base Thyamine and Uracil, while the DNA has a base Thyamine, RNA has Uracil base instead. Therefore; it can not be translated.
