Well since we know the roots are x = 5 and x = -1/4. We can convert it into an equation and make it equal to 0.

Simply work backwards instead of solving for x. For x = 5, it would be x - 5 = 0, because if you solve for x it will be 5.

Same thing for x = -1/4, the equation would be x + 1/4 = 0.

(X-5)(x+1/4) = 0.

Now multiply the 2 binomials together to get the quadratic. To get rid of the fraction after obtaining the quadratic multiply by 4 for each term in the quadratic.
