Tammy runs 7 miles in 80 mins. At the same rate, how many miles would she run in 64 mins?

In order to do this problem, you would have to set up rate of change equation. Distance/time (d/t)
7 mi/80 mins = x mi/64 mins
Solve this equation by solving for x.
80x = 7(64)
X = 5.6
So Tammy ran 5.6 miles.

The speed of Tammy 7:80=7/80
for 64 minutes she runs S=speed . time=7/80 x 64= 28/5= 5.6 miles
