The Calvin cycle makes direct use of CO2, ATP, and NADPH to make sugar.

Calvin cycle is a part of light-independent reaction from a plant that used to make carbohydrate/sugar. Since this reaction is making more complex molecules it belongs to anabolic reaction and will need energy to be done.
