step 1

Find out the equation of the line in slope-intercept form

y=mx+b

we have

m=-1/3

point (-2,3)

substitute and solve for b

3=-(1/3)(-2)+b

3=(2/3)+b

b=3-(2/3)

b=7/3

so

y=-(1/3)x+7/3

step 2

To graph the line we need at least two points

For x=1

y=-(1/3)(1)+7/3

y=2

point (1,2)

Now we have the points

(-2,3) and (1,2)

so

Plot them and join to graph the line
