The first term is (for x = 1) = 10

The explicit equation is y = 3x + 7

With the help of explicit formula, we can get any term my using the different values of x.

For example, if we put x = 1, we can get the first term.

y = 3x + 7

y = 3(1) + 7

y = 3 + 7

y = 10 (That is exactly the first term.)

Similarly, we can get the 9th term by placing x = 9. So,

y = 3(9) + 7

y = 27 + 7

y = 34

Therefore, the 9th term would be 34.
