The  slope of the line that passes through the points (9, -5) and (-1, -9) is 2/5

Slope of a line

The formula for calculating the slope of a line is expressed as;

Slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

Substitute the coordinates

Slope = -9+5/-1-9
Slope = -4/-10

Slope = 2/5
