Manifest Destiny was very appealing because it gave everyone the same ideology of rapid expansion. It was the belief that they needed to spread their greatness to other places, which is what caused them to have the ideology of expansion. They also needed territory and they just needed to justify their actions which could be another reason why manifest destiny was so popular.
