Answer: the answer is B or 4

Step-by-step explanation: (ALWAYS USE DISTRIBUTED PROPERTY FOR PARENTHESIS)

the first is 1.5(x+4)= 1.5x+6 the second one is 4.5(x-2)= 4.5x-9

the equations are now: 1.5x+6-3=4.5x-9

*ALWAYS COMBINE LIKE TERMS*

1.5x+3 because of the (6-3=3)

the equation is now 1.5x+3=4.5x-9 (we subtract 1.5x with 4.5x because they are like terms) which gives us 3

the equation is now 3=3x-9 (3 and 9 are like terms so we add 9 to 3)

9+3=12

FINALLY the equation is 12/3x (we just deivide) and we get 4
