Why did the North industrialize faster than the South

The North industrialized faster than the South because Southern businessmen saw no point in investing in industry.

The South was largely involved in agriculture. Thus, they focused more on that.

The North, on the otherhand, invested more on industrialize industry. Their weather condition also helped in their building and operating of factories.

because the north had more resources. They also were in a sense 'richer' than the south. They had more supplies and had more natural resources. also more fire power
