Adirubasamy who is a character in the movie life of pi is Pi’s
guro. He taught Pi to swim. This later becomes very essential when Pi
ends up in the middle of the ocean. It was like a gift of faith given
to Pi. Pi called him Mamaji which means respected uncle.
