So the rule with dividing exponents of the same base is [tex] \frac{x^m}{x^n}=x^{m-n} [/tex]

Apply this rule here as such:

[tex] \frac{8^5}{8^3}=8^{5-3}=8^2 [/tex]

Your answer is 8², or B.
